Raising funds for Alexis and her family

Alexis Drew-White is an amazing 20 year old. Most recently, she attended Southern Illinois University. where she was majoring in nursing. She is a bright young woman with a promising future ahead of her. She’s a Evanston High School graduate and a former cheerleader & basketball player.

Sadly, in May 2022 Alexis was involved in a tragic incident, where she became a victim of a shooting in Evanston. She was an unintended victim; she was shot in her right eye and as a result of the intense bleeding Alexis suffered a stroke and is now in physical therapy treatment.

This tragedy affects the whole family, and adjusting to the change will not be easy. The family has always helped others, no questions asked. They truly are an amazing family and need all the love and support they can get. The resulting trauma will require physical and emotional counseling for Alexis. Due to the shooting Alexis currently has no vision in her right eye and no mobility is her left arm, we are praying that with continued therapy she will regain sight and mobility.

This campaign is to help raise money for the family and her daughter, Alexis. She is receiving aggressive treatment three times a week and has come a long way since the tragic incident, however still has extensive physical and emotional work ahead. Currently Alexis is working to regain mobility in her left arm and hand that was affected by the stroke she had due to being shot in her eye by a bullet.

Collected donations will help pay for underlining expenses from rehab that insurance doesn’t cover. transportation to therapy three times a week and assisting in covering living expenses that would normally be covered if Shannon was able to work 5 days instead of only 2, due to Alexis' therapy. These funds will go directly to Shannon.
