That’s my dog, Dusty. He is a Carolina Dog and Chow mix, he has been a delight to have by my side for so many years. He has been my bud since he was 4 weeks old, he has been everywhere with me. He has protected our chickens and livestock from multiple coyotes, he has scared off would be intruders, he has been 100% loyal (except that time he ran away terrified of a goose that was chasing him) he even ran at 41 miles per hour at one point in his life. He is 13 now and I’m afraid to say it but, I don’t think he will be with us much longer. He can’t go on hikes or run as fast as he used to. He can’t jump up 16 foot rock walls like he used to or catch birds out of the sky. One thing he does still have at least is his undying love and affection. Still to this day when he hears me outside of the door he is standing at the door waiting patiently for me to come inside. He truly has been an amazing dog and his memory will live with me forever. I always wished I had a way to commemorate him so others could know him too. My friend brought to my attention a business idea she had since she is a dog lover too. She has an idea for a Bar and Grill that is dog friendly where dog lovers can come to eat with their fury friends, freely post pictures of their fury friends to commemorate their undying love and affection. Where people can socialize while their dogs play. No longer the days of NO DOGS ALLOWED signs but, instead a welcoming environment for animals two and four legged. Please help me make my friends dream come true and let’s create, together, a place where our dogs will live on in the hearts and minds of all who come to visit. Anything helps. Thank you, peace and love.
