A pesar de estar rodeada de personas que la amaban, creía que era una carga, que sus sentimientos no importaban o que pedir ayuda era demasiado difícil. Tristemente, ese dolor se volvió demasiado pesado y decidió quitarse la vida.

Nuestra familia siempre llevará el dolor de no haber sabido cuánto estaba sufriendo, de desear haber dicho o hecho algo —lo que fuera— para cambiar el desenlace. <div>My sister was only 16 years old. She had a smile that could light up a room, a laugh that stayed with you, and a heart that felt deeply. She was someone’s daughter, sister, friend, and so much more. To the world, she may have seemed okay—but inside, she was fighting a battle she didn’t know how to explain.

<div>Like so many teenagers, she carried pain silently. She felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, and alone in ways that words couldn’t capture. Despite being surrounded by people who loved her, she believed she was a burden, that her feelings didn’t matter, or that asking for help would be too hard. Tragically, that pain became too heavy, and she took her own life.
