Raising Awareness for Childhood Cancer

2020 really rocked my world. Not only was
the world hit by a global pandemic, but some
very special people close to me received the
most challenging news ever.

I wanted to help but felt so helpless, I wanted
the pain and suffering to stop, the countless
hours in hospital away from their siblings,
their family, friends and the community to
reduce, and most importantly to fix this nightmare they were all living, as they were all to
young to be battling cancer, life’s so unfair.

Cancer doesn’t just affect one person it affects the whole community and anyone that knows them. Everyone wants to help but nobody
knows how. Some families like to keep their
battles private whilst others rally around the
community for support.

For that reason I’ve chosen not to share their
individual stories, but for those that know
Jake, Luca and Zoe I ask you to please help
raise awareness of childhood cancer and
donate.

❤️ Jake - 11.5, same age as me
❤️ Luca - 3, same age as my little brother
❤️ Zoe’s battle begun at the young age of 14
        and she fought long and hard for 5 years
       before she sadly lost her battle in June.

I was initially just going to donate my beautiful long hair that I have been growing throughout 2020 to Wigs for Kids but they encouraged
me to reach out to the community. I’m not the sort of person to ask people for money so I
prefer to see this has an opportunity to raise
awareness that cancer can affect anyone not
just adults. Childhood cancer is just absolutely devastating and has really rocked the lives of 3 beautiful families who I personally know, but I know these families aren’t alone and there
are loads more families all around the world
going through the same thing. So for that
reason I have decided with the help of Mum to create a go fund me page not only to raise
awareness but to raise money and donate to a worthy cause.
