Raising Awareness for Mental Health Issues and keeping County Resources and School Districts accountable for kids mental health. Hi - my name is Gloria Yanneth Chavez, mother of Felipe Miguel Contreras Chavez. Felipe was a student at Aragon High School, who unfortunately took his life. He was a Son, a brother and a friend. Felipe was an excellent student and a beloved family member who suffered depression at the account of the pandemic and effects of bullying from a young age. As a mother, I tried going to the County for programs such as Turning Point. Through the process of reaching out for help from School Districts/County Resources, my son could not take it anymore. Depression, amongst all mental health issues should be one of the top priorities of School Districts and County Resources, however that is not the case. If you or someone you know can help, my family and I would greatly appreciate it to cover all our costs. Hola, mi nombre es Gloria Janeth Chavez, mi hijo era Felipe Miguel Contreras Chavez. Un estudiante de la Escuela Secundaria Aragón, que desafortunadamente se quitó la vida. Un hijo, un hermano y un amigo. Felipe fue un excelente estudiante y querido miembro de la familia que sufrió depresión debido a la pandemia, y los efectos del bullying desde una edad temprana. Como madre, traté de ir al Condado para programas como Turning Point y a través de este proceso de pedir ayuda a los Distritos Escolares/Recursos del Condado, mi hijo ya no pudo más. La depresión, entre todos los problemas de salud mental, debe ser una de las principales prioridades de estos distritos escolares y recursos del condado pero, ese no es el caso.
