Raising 4 Rachel

Hello everyone, my name is Ida. I am starting this is a fundraiser for assisting my dear friend Rachel Stephenson with medical expenses, travel expenses (going back and forth from Cocoa Beach to Orlando,FL for appointments) and daily living expenses.

She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer after a week long hospital stay in the middle of August.

Today, September 20th, Dr. De La Fuentes performed the Whipple procedure to remove the tumor. The cancer has not metastasized thankfully. She is in great spirits but also in great pain. Hopefully that subsides with pain medication.

Once she is discharged from the hospital, she will have approximately month long recovery in Cocoa Beach, Fl. Once she is cleared to fly, she plans to travel back to Green Bay for the rest of her recovery and treatment IF possible.

Because of the long recovery period she will not be able to work during this time and needs help with living expenses. She also is  in the process of obtaining insurance or hopefully emergency Medicaid. Currently she is a self pay patient so the bills have become insurmountable as you can imagine.
