Raise the Roof for Superior Therapy

Superior Therapy started around 30 years ago when Summer Terry first fell in love with horses.
She put her heart and soul into barrel racing and the horses she competed with. She grew up in the saddle, studying every training method and wellness regiment when on the ground. I remember watching her do all this as her best friend. I beamed with pride then as she went amazing places on amazing horses and began transitioning into the industry.
Over the years, there was success and struggle. She spent late nights icing legs knowing she wouldn't be able to compete the next day, prayed in the waiting room during a surgery and been the one in surgery. She lost her stallion at a young age to a fractured hock... All the setbacks and struggles that would make most people quit, she strived for more. More knowledge, more options, what was the best. Her bond with her horses is as deep and true as a lifelong friend. They aren't just animals or pets, they are her family. They give so much and she wants to give them the best back.
She started 14 years ago as a massage therapist for people and worked her way into equine therapy over the years. She fought obstacles from personal health, to equine health, to finding those who shared her vision, and more. Everytime, she marched ahead, a brave look and determination on her face, no matter how she felt inside.
She took a leap and bought a farm in Guthrie to realize her dream of an all-inclusive therapy center for equines. From underwater treadmill training and cold water salt spas, to full body PEMF and cold laser treatment, she does it. She still offers services for people as well, including message therapy, acupuncture, and CBD products. She built an empire while struggling with her own health issues and I watched in amazement and pride as she overcame it all and ran a thriving business.
Then on August 26, 2019, in the late night, Oklahoma weather threw the biggest curve ball to date. A storm brought 110 mile per hour winds, torrential rain, record lightning and thunder. Determined to ride out the storm with the equines in her care, Summer watched helplessly as half her barn roof was sheared off. Rain, dirt, insulation came from every angle. Anything outside was fair game.
Miraculously, no equines or people were injured in the accident, but the damage was done. Luckily, Summer had an emergency plan in place and was able to get the horses to a safe location and better assess them before returning to the aftermath.
It's hard to not feel defeated or ask "Why?" when your obstacle looks like this. It's hard to not have tears in my eyes as I think of all she has overcome already just to face this. Yet, even as she asks this, she keeps going. Overwhelming grateful that there were no injuries, the process of rebuilding has already begun.
The work has barely begun though. After hefty insurances deductibles and the possibility of being out of work for up to four months, help is still needed. After showing up and showing out everyday, Summer and her business need and beyond deserve any help they can get. If you can't help financially, your time doing some clean up, sending ecouraging thoughts, or even just sharing this, it is appreciated and needed.
After helping so many people and their equine partners and just being the amazing friend and person she is, she deserves for all of us to "Raise the Roof for Superior Therapy" and support her the way she supports others.
Thank you to all who have helped so far! We appreciate it! We will rebuild, stronger than before.
Stay strong beautiful! This cannot and will not break you, we won’t let it. We have your back BOSS BABE!
