Raise the Curtains for Inskip Elementary

This is Beth Kinnane, community news editor for Knox TN Today. Knox TN Today in partnership with the Friends of Inskip Elementary is sponsoring this fund-raiser on the school's behalf. Inskip is a special school with great traditions, including a flourishing arts department. While there have been many great improvements to the school facility over the past several years, there's a few things its regular budget from all sources does not cover. The curtains hanging on the stage in the gym/auditorium are in the ballpark of 70 years old and shredding where they hang. Those and the back curtains desperately need to be replaced. Some new audio/visual equipment and lighting would also go a long way to upgrading this performance space to the level these students deserve. Inskip serves a diverse, urban, predominately working-class population of students who deserve the best on their campus, too. Won't you please help us put the finishing touches on their auditorium and watch the Inskip Lions Be Great!
