Medical dolls and gift bags.

Donation protected
Over the last 10 years Jake has been in and out of hospital having many tests and operations. With this Jake has become scared and wont let doctors or nurses touch him without a fight. In December 2020 Jake had an Ace (antegrade continence enema) fitted in him in which Jake struggled to accept. Prior to Jake having this done we brought Jake a medical doll which also had an Ace fitted. Over the days this doll helped Jake to look at his Ace and except it.  Jake takes his doll called Jacob to all appointments and doctors and nurses show Jake what they want to do on Jacob before doing it on Jake. These dolls can be adapted to suit individual children for example hearing aid, open heart surgery, stoma bags, insulin aids etc. We would like to raise money to buy some of these dolls to gift to children who may have medical needs, siblings with medical needs or children who have parents with medical needs and also gift some to our local children hospital. These dolls will be purchased from company called specialfriends and range from 30-45 pound. As a parent its heartbreaking to see children go through so much so if Jake can put a smile on one childs face that would mean the world to us.
