<div>My dad has been living in constant, debilitating pain for far too long, and watching him suffer every single day is heartbreaking. The pain has robbed him of so much. He can no longer enjoy the life he once had, and even the simplest everyday tasks have become a struggle.

<div>Many of you will remember when Belfast Live shared his story. We truly believed things would improve, but sadly, they haven’t. Instead, we’re still fighting to get him the help he desperately needs.
</div>

<div>The NHS in Northern Ireland has told us that the specialist operation my dad needs cannot be carried out here because there are no surgeons with the required training. We have been told he would need treatment in mainland UK or France, but despite this, he is still waiting while his condition continues to worsen.
</div>

</div>
<div>We have also been told that the NHS needs to apply for funding for the operation before treatment can go ahead. Unfortunately, we have no idea how long that process could take, especially given the pressures on the healthcare system. After everything my dad has already endured, we simply don’t feel he can afford to wait any longer. He has already suffered for far too long, which is why we’ve decided to do everything we can ourselves to raise the money and hopefully get him the treatment he so desperately needs as soon as possible.

<div>Living with this level of pain every day has taken a huge toll, not only on his physical health but also on his mental health. He now suffers from depression, and as a family it is devastating to watch someone we love lose so much of the life they once had.

<div>We just want our dad back. We want to see him smile again, enjoy time with his family, and be able to live without constant pain overshadowing every day.
</div>

<div>That’s why we’ve started a GoFundMe. We are hoping that, with the kindness and generosity of others, we can raise enough money to help him access the treatment he desperately needs and finally give him the chance to reclaim his life.
