February 2024 Update:
Well, it has been a year since this journey started for us. And, this year has started off with a bang. Sorry, we haven't posted about anything for a bit, it has been a lot to handle. But, the gist is that we have found another lump. Biopsy was done last week and we are waiting on results, hopefully should hear something today. Most likely surgery in the near future to get rid of the lumps in the breasts and the spot on the liver. Can't get to the ones in the lungs safely, so we will keep treating those, but may take a break from chemo for a bit after surgery. Nothing is final yet, just what all is being talked about currently, so prayers would be greatly appreciated. Also, if I have surgery, I will have to be out of work for a week or so and we cannot afford that at all, so special prayers for provision please.
We love you all and can't thank you enough for the kind words and prayers. Please keep them coming.
Update:
Hey everyone, had chemo today and saw the doctor, so I wanted to update you all.
Chemo is working, keeping the tumors in my lungs stable and shrinking…
Sending me to a surgeon to talk about removing the tumor from my liver and breast. Not sure what all that will look like as of yet, but we are continuing with chemo until surgery is scheduled. After surgery, may take a little break from Chemo to let my body rest, but will start it again to keep the lung tumors stable.
we love and appreciate you all so much. Please pray for wisdom for us and the doctors and for continued provision as we push through all this. Thanks so much!
Hi there,
I am Kelli... Many of you may already know, but here is my story...
In 2016, I found a lump and was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma. They did a lumpectomy and radiation and then CT scans every 6 months for 6 years. All Clear. Then in January of this year, I found another lump on the opposite side. The plan was to do the same thing as they thought it was localized. Enter in a new Rheumatologist who I was seeing for the very first time, but who thought we should do new scans and biopsies and low and behold, it had spread to my lungs and my liver. Not what we were hoping, but we know God has a plan.
Started chemo right away and have had 6 sessions so far. Good news, the tumors are shrinking and there are no new ones. Bad news, still too many in the lungs to operate. So, we are keeping on with the chemo for a time and will check again.
During all this, we have come to some financial struggles, used up our savings and now are trying to get back on top of it all. Several people have asked me about setting up a Go Fund Me, so we decided to go forward with it. Thank you in advance for thinking of us. We cannot appreciate you more.
