Hi my name is Abid and I am a queer refugee living in Wales. Last year I graduated with a first class honours degree in visual arts and at the same time became eligible to apply for British citizenship upon completing 6 years of living in the country. I tried gathering money to cover the legal costs and application fee but because of the cost of living crisis it seems impossible to save anything. I am at the developing stage of my artistic career, so the jobs barely pay minimum wage. In this paradoxical situation I believe I'm making the right decision of asking for help.
