<div>On the 12th of October 2026, the Kilda fishing boat of Brevig, Isle of Lewis was tragically lost whilst fishing in the Port of Ness area, south of the Butt of Lewis. Sadly, crew members Norman "Tam" Murray, 40, and Murdo Morrison, 23, remain missing, while the body of skipper Douglas Craigie, 49, has been recovered.

It has engaged with the communities of Carloway, Barvas, Ness and Stornoway in identifying key individuals who will ensure that all the families who have suffered, due to one of the worst sea tragedies in the Isle of Lewis for a generation, will be supported for the future.
