Hi my names Lee and I’m looking for a bit of community help here if you are able to assist in any way with anything no matter how small I’m sure this will be of great help to a person(won’t share person’s details).

locally many of us witness homeless on our streets which in my opinion shouldn’t be ever happening in this day and age, I apologise if this triggers anyone who has experienced this themselves❤️

Locally around Ayrshire I have witnessed ruff sleeping, I have previously worked in housing and know that anyone of us are 1 pay away of sadly facing that reality with a slight life event change.

Following asking around to others about the person and speaking to the person, I think as community we can possibly help.

Please note I have raised this with the locally authority and will work with them in seeing what if anything can be done to suit the persons wishes and these will always be respected at all times.

Please also note that offers of places to rest have been offered but very kindly declined.

Looking to raise enough for maybe some items that would help in these weather conditions until such time the person may or may not choose shelter in a housing setting that works for the person.

Some ideas I am thinking are:

*A camping Matt for sleeping bag to go onto

*A suitcase for personal belongings to go into with wheels so easier to move around

*gift cards for local hot food/hot drink/clothing vouchers/bus pass/ supermarkets and phone top up.

*tea/coffee/sugar

*hand sanitizer/dental products/toiletries

I have ordered new sleeping bag/flask and will collect this in morning (Tuesday 1st of April) along with toiletries/warm food/hot drink.

I know first hand how the cost of living is affecting everyone right now and please don’t feel you need to support with this, please only assist if you can afford to do so❤️

Please note I will go with someone to hand what’s been bought over in a respectful and dignified manner.

I’m doing this as this world can be at times a dark place and speaking to others, we just need to do what’s right in any situation we witness or where as humans we can help someone when they are faced with a challenge or change in circumstances❤️

Please if you can relate or know who this is I would kindly ask you don’t comment location of individual or name etc please respect the persons right to privacy and safety.

Also will continue to work with the individual to connect to local services which may assist ie registering with local health services gp/dentist etc
