<div>Hi, I'm Fem, a 66-year-old PhD researcher!  I'm running the Chester Marathon on 5 October 2025 for the Wolfpack Lupus Trust Foundation to raise funds and awareness for lupus and other chronic conditions with largely invisible symptoms.

<div>Help me to support my friend Ronke Fadare, the founder of Wolfpack Lupus Trust Foundation. Ronke has lived with Lupus for over 30 years. She has helped organisations build community projects across arts, wellbeing, and self-development in schools, disability services, elderly care, and youth settings. Wolfpack Trust aims to combine creativity, movement, and therapeutic practice to help people connect, heal, and thrive. We like to partner with the NHS and local organisations to deliver inclusive arts‑health education, mobility and coordination programmes, workshops for communities and schools, and Dance Movement Psychotherapy to boost confidence and wellbeing.

<div>This cause is deeply personal, not only does Ronke live with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and Discoid Lupus. This invisible illness also runs through her family: Her brother has lupus, her eldest daughter was diagnosed at 14 and is now awaiting a kidney transplant, and her younger daughter is autistic. Despite her having a partial knee replacement in December 2024,  Ronke  is determined to advocate for everyone whose illness is too often unseen and misunderstood. That's why I'm running, to raise money and shine a light on this cause.

<div>Yes, I'm 66; I'm studying for a doctorate, and tying my trainers too. Short runs, long reads, repeat. My knees might grumble, but my stubbornness is fierce and my heart is whole. I'm going to challenge myself even if it feels uncomfortable. This race is for people who carry things we can't always see.
