Rainy Day Anime is a locally owned small business that's about to get bigger!
We are located at 2350 S. Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO.
For 8 years we have created a fun, relaxed and immersive shop that sells goods related to Japanese Animation, Video Games and Pop Culture. This was always enhanced by our instore events. With a variety of interactive events, from Bento Parties to Gaming Socials, we created comradery and a sense community within our customers. After a few years though, a problem arose, with an expanding inventory and increasing attendance we had outgrown our event space.
But an opportunity came when the business next door recently moved out. Even though we are still reeling from having our front door run though, we didn’t want to lose this chance, so we quickly came up with a plan: Annex the space to create a large event room independant from the storefront, have extra space for storage, a small office for the owner, and new signs for the storefront and annex. Also, if things go well, expand our current storefront by removing the backroom wall, creating a proper dressing room, and putting in a separate receiving counter for trade-ins and new merchandise.
In order to make this work we need your help!
How can you help:
-Donate to our Go Fund Me Campaign-We will keep you updated on our progress and should we meet our goal hold a special event for donors and friends.

-Spread the word about us and our Project: Even if you don’t have the money to help, somebody else does.
-Shop at Rainy Day Anime- Every little bit helps, so the more we sell, the more we can put towards improvements.

Where the money will go:
$3000 goal- this is for move in and set up costs for the new space.
-$1000 = Commercial beverage cooler for storefront (fridge will be moved to annex)
-$500-$1000 = Lockable door for Back room annex (Cost will depend if remodeling need to be done around door area)
-$500= New signs for Storefront and Annex
-$400 = Office desk and setup (the owner has needed this for a long time)
-$300 = Extra chairs and tables for Annex (we will accept these on donation or loan as well)
-$300 = Extra shelves for storage
-Any leftover will be put toward installing Alarms and cameras for Annex space and remodeling the Storefront.
$6000 Stretch goal- Get a DDR machine for the annex
-$3000+= Dance Dance Revolution Arcade game
-Any leftover will be put toward remodeling the Storefront.
$8000 Stretch goal- New T-shirts made (all Sponsors and VIPs will get one at no extra cost)
-$2000= New T-shirts designed in honor of the Annex. (We will sell them in store for $20)
-Any money from T-shirt sales will be put toward remodeling the Storefront.
$10,000 Stretch goal- Second Japanese arcade machine, Once we have both machines up and running, we will host special arcade events.
-$2000+= A Japanese Arcade game(TBD)
-Money earned from Arcade Games will be put toward remodeling the Storefront.
