Raina Rae Stewart

Raina  was diagnosed with a severe bilateral pleural effusion at 19 weeks, her chest was drained and they started seeing the high risk doctor. Her prognosis was always poor but she stayed stable for a long time. Sara developed polyhydramnios at 28 weeks, they did steriod shots to develope her lungs and anticipated delivery the following week but she stayed stable until 32 weeks when she started getting more fluid slowley around her chest. At 35 weeks and 6 days it spread to her tummy, scalp and skin causing hydrops wich gave her a less then 5% chance of survival. Sara was induced March 15th at 10:30 am and Raina was born March 16th at 7:28am weighing 6lbs. She lived for 14 hours before she was sedated and taken off the life support. 


Any donation would be greatly appreciated. All medical costs were covered but funeral costs were not. Raina will be burried in Oklahoma next to our Grandma Dorothy so Chris and Sara will also have travel expenses.
