Surgical Mission to India for Kids
Tax deductible
This January 2018, we have the honor of performing free cleft lip and palate surgery in children in Jaipur and Mumbai, India. Last year we were able to help over 200 children, but to do so again in 2018, this project needs your help!
The funds collected will be used to purchase medical supplies, medications, housing and travel for patients and their families, and additional expenses needed to run the medical clinics and surgeries.
Cleft lip and palate are devastating birth defects in which the lip and/or palate do not fuse together creating a visible gap that affects facial appearance, swallowing and speech. Children in underserved areas with deformities are often ostrasized for their appearance or abnormal speech. These surgeries can often significantly improve a child's quality of life and social acceptance.
Please help support our team of nurses, speech therapists, anesthesiologists, and surgeons in their 2 week endeavor to perform as many surgeries as possible. Our team members' names are listed below, please thank them for their time and efforts!
