Ritu Kaur Gill and Harleen Kaur Gill, younger sisters of Rahuldeep Singh Gill, are organizing the “Rahuldeep Singh Gill Memorial Fund”. All donations will be directed to benefit Rahuldeep's wife and children.

 

 

Rahuldeep Singh Gill Memorial Fund

On December 31st, 2021, we lost our brother, Rahuldeep Singh Gill. Within his family, Rahuldeep was a devoted husband, loving father, dutiful son and a caring big brother. From his early days growing up in Boston to completing his PhD in Religious Studies to teaching, Rahuldeep always had an energy that was magnetic. He was a dynamic, captivating speaker who used his love of language to inspire others. Within the communities he loved and supported, Rahuldeep was an inspiring educator and scholar of Sikh studies, respected author, trusted mentor and passionate activist for the Black Lives Matter movement and other social justice causes within his community of Los Angeles. To everyone whose life he touched, Rahuldeep was always a warm and generous friend. He was, and will always be, loved by so many.

 

Rahuldeep is survived by his wife, Rachna, son Nadar (10) and daughter Elaan (8). This fund has been set up to directly and exclusively support Rachna and the kids during and after this extremely difficult time. Your generosity and support mean a great deal. Due to COVID and its current variants, and our family’s desire for privacy, funeral services were held for immediate family only in Los Angeles, California on Saturday January 8, 2022. We are still considering what our needs are for a larger celebration of Rahuldeep's life. As we continue to process this immeasurable grief, our family asks for continued privacy during this time.
