Rafiki Orphanage Toilets

We are raising money for new toilets at Rafiki Orphanage & Daycare, located in Arusha, Tanzania. We are a group of volunteers who have been volunteering at their orphanage for the last few weeks. Currently they use one toilet (pictured) between 27 people - 24 children and 3 staff, the toilets are in extremely bad condition with plumbing issues and bad odor, they also have no sink to wash their hands for hygeine and no toilet paper meaning germs can spread to the children and staff such as cholera, dyssentry, giardia and hepatitis A, to name a few. As a new and still growing orphanage which was only opened just last year, they are expecting more and more children to begin attending which means that the current toilet situation will become even more difficult. The photo attached is where they would like to build the toilets, this will also provide them with a wall where they are lacking one so they can block out the floods during flood season as in April they had their chickens killed and outdoor area ruined by large flooding. They have been given a quote by a builder/engineer to build 3 new toilets, which is the amount we would like to raise. The three toilets will be one girls toilet, one boys toilets and one staff toilet. Any donations no matter how small are very much appreciated, a small amount to you is worth a lot more here!
