Rafael's Leukemia Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Rafael Adame, a father and a husband, and now grandfather, is battling Myelofibrosis, a form of leukemia that originated in association with chronic polycythemia vera back in 2007. Rafael served 11 years in the United States Army before receiving a medical discharge due to a 1988 helicopter crash during a training mission.

Many may know Ralph as a coach, a funny family man, and a friend. Along with coaching the Prince of Peace (church) Nets and Rockies, and later at Northwest Little League, he became a teacher at St. James Catholic Church and Howsman Elementary School. Most recently, Rafael has been a district manager in sales and marketing for over ten years. Because of employment restrictions, Rafael will not be receiving pay for those extended months that he will be recovering from the bone marrow transplant. He is expected to miss approximately 9 months of work.

On Sunday, July 19th, 2015, our family hosted a benefit for Ralph at Grady's BBQ  in San Antonio, Texas. Thank you to every one who attend this event. Your presence truly made a motivating difference in Rafael's recovery.

We appreciate every contribution, and we would like to thank all those who have prayed for Rafael Adame. Ralph has enjoyed every one of his visitors, their time, and their faith extended upon him. Godspeed to you and keep the support coming!

A special thank you goes to his brother, Israel P. Adame, who donated bone marrow to Rafael. Ralph is thankful for his new chance at life.
