LET'S GO ON THE SAME WAVELENGHT!  RADIO CITÉ  97.9 FM (CFED) IS LAUNCHING ITS FIRST-EVER FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

Manifester votre appui au projet du déménagement de l’antenne à un endroit plus stratégique identifié par nos consultants techniques. Vous pourrez mieux syntoniser Radio Cité partout en ville et dans certaines banlieues, en voiture, chez vous et au bureau. La somme recueillie servira également à la programmation, le projet scolaire, et à l’acquisition d’équipements pour la production extérieure des studios.

This fundraising effort will allow us, among other things, to improve the broadcasting spectrum of our radio opened last October by moving the antenna and the transmitter to a much higher roof. We really need to expand our broadcast range to the “Greater Edmonton.”

Projects associated with radio stations have significant economic and regional impacts. Thoughtful investments, even small investments, can generate significant changes and create dynamic and meaningful environments and spaces, while increasing the supply of activities. This year, radio is entering immersion schools to provide training services to students. Our radio can carry out a great deal of the knowledge, skills and French language that young people will be able to use throughout their lives. They will be equipped to build a bright future in French with superb self-confidence and confidence. For the teachers, it’s a stimulant and incomparable tool to support their work. 

Le conseil d’administration de la Société de la radio communautaire du Grand Edmonton a œuvré pendant plus de 11 ans pour offrir à notre communauté cet outil essentiel de communication. Pourquoi ? Parce qu’il croit en son pouvoir d’engendrer un fort sentiment d’appartenance à la francophonie albertaine et de renforcer la vitalité de notre communauté.

Open since last October, Société de la radio communautaire du Grand Edmonton Society’s Board of Directors has been working for more than eleven years to offer this essential communication tool because it believes in its power to generate a strong sense of belonging to the Alberta Francophone community and to reinforce the vitality of our community.

Pourquoi est-ce si important ? Le succès de tous nos services est directement lié à la qualité de la diffusion de notre radio. 

Cette radio a le pouvoir de tous nous réunir sous une même antenne, que nous soyons francophones ou francophiles du grand Edmonton. Elle donne à notre communauté une présence tangible en ondes toutes les heures de la journée. Elle est là pour provoquer la discussion et la compréhension des enjeux ou du succès de nos diverses collectivités. Radio Cité, c’est également un grand outil de formation. Elle forme des jeunes en milieu scolaire grâce à l’aide financière de Patrimoine canadien, ainsi que des adultes.  Une communauté mieux informée et connectée est une communauté renforcée.

Radio Cité

·         Bridges schools and communities;

·         Is the hotspot for the transmission of our language and culture;

·         Develops an educated, intelligent and learning community;

·         Develops leadership for the young people;

·        Develops connections with Anglophone partners.
Our daily programming produces in our studio 70 local hours per week.

 

Radio Cité, c’est :

·         Plus de 350 entrevues et chroniques depuis octobre dernier ;

·         Plus de 100 participants aux formations radio ;

·         Plus de 50 bénévoles en ondes chaque semaine ;

·         Plus de 70 heures de programmation locale par semaine ;

·         Une grande présence de l’équipe dans les événements communautaires et culturels.

The creation of Radio Cité also aims at the strengthening and development of the local talent, the implication of the volunteers and the students in the functioning of the radio, and the enhancement of the Francophone culture. Our airwaves is answering the big absence on other stations in Edmonton, Alberta and Canada of our French musical talent. You can make a difference to reach our goal! Spread the word about the importance of the station, talk about our social funding campaign to your family, your network and your friends. Invite them to contribute and share information about the station.
