The Black Canadian Coaches Association (BCCA) is committed to working alongside allied individuals, organizations, and our governing sports bodies in Canada to eradicate anti-black racism and racial inequities in our collegiate athletic institutions (USports, CCAA).
Proceeds will be directed towards continued advocacy efforts and conducting a comprehensive and unprecedented race-based study to identify the needs and concerns of former and current Black, Indigenous and Persons of Colour participating in our Canadian university sports sector.
The creation of a Charter for Racial Equity in Post-Secondary Athletics signifies a structural and cultural shift towards evidence based inclusion and safety measures within our sport governing bodies.
