F'n brain surgery.
Brain surgery to have a tumor removed from that beautiful big head of hers.
Everyone can imagine how hefty the cost of brain surgery is, not to mention being air flighted to Seattle after suffering 3 seizures that led to the finding of the tumor.
For our vagablonde backpacker, this entire experience will have her rooted at home for quite some time, to heal and get back to her wild, free-spirit self. She won't be able to work and she's got a long road ahead of her that surely won't be an easy one.
Money is stressful. Hospital bills are stressful. And to have to suddenly rely on others when you're used to taking on the world on your own is stressful.
It's been incredible to witness the outpouring of love for Rachel on social media during this last week, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants her to get better as quickly as possible without having to worry about any extra stressors. She's optimistic as ever about figuring everything out, but I figured I'd play the helicopter best friend and set one of these up because any little bit will make a difference. I wasn't sure where to even start with a goal, but google brain surgery costs and you'll see I aimed low.
