Rachel's Victim Recovery Fund

Last night, my dear friend, a kind, loving wife and mother, Rachel Nelon was brutally attacked, robbed and carjacked in front of her apartment. Before she could enter her home, she was pepper sprayed by her attacker who took her to the ground, repeatedly kicked and stomped her face, breaking her nose and orbital socket, took her keys and stole the car - all just outside her front door. 

Rachel has been seriously injured, victimized and traumatized, but in addition to trying to recover from her own injuries and pain, she needs help to regain her safety. Her family needs help not just with recovering losses from missed work, stolen property and medical bills, but immediate help moving to a safe place. According to Trulia, this is just one of 265 assaults and 205 robberies in her area in the past year (https://www.trulia.com/real_estate/75228-Dallas/crime/) and her apartment complex is unwilling to do anything to ensure the safety of its residents.
