hello everyone my name is Rachel Ruth I will be 37 years old on May 12th I was diagnosed as a type one insulin dependent diabetic when I was 9 years old I am a very brittle diabetic therefore anything and everything affects my blood sugar my diabetes has taken a toll on my body especially my eyes I have gone down to the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center in had eight surgeries many to repair my retina another and another to remove my left eye I had no more usable Vision in that eye in the glaucoma was so terrible that that was my only option a little bit about my life I have a 15-year-old son and a 2-year-old deaf Boston Terrier so it's the blind leading the deaf over here LOL I am in desperate need to raise money so that I can go back down to Kellogg Eye Center and have a much needed surgery they need to remove some of the dead tissue around the eye that was removed and I also have to have the bone carved out and refitted it for another prosthetic the one I currently have falls out I am a good person I don't need too many organizations whenever I possibly can I am on disability because of my vision so therefore that does not leave any wiggle room for anything emergent that comes up my son is so wonderful he helps me read and see things all the time I couldn't ask for any better I am very blessed in many ways but I also am reaching out and playing for help to lose one of your senses is very hard to describe I have learned to do life this way but it makes me feel like a burden a lot of time to ask someone to stop by the store for me or to ask someone to get something for me even though I pay for it I still feel like a burden my family has their own medical issues going on so therefore I do not have them to fall back on for assistance with this this is my plea I am asking for help please I would like to continue on a good path and to do so I need the surgery yes I do have insurance but this is my copay and I have to pay this before they will even schedule my surgery time if anyone is able to help even $5 adds up please and thank you so very much I appreciate you all thank you for your time and consideration I hope everyone is having a beautiful Easter weekend!
