Rachel's Brain Surgery Recovery

In August, 2017, Rachel Caldwell started getting intense headaches, nausea, and extreme lethargy. While this was not normal for her, these symptoms were dismissed as no more than tension headaches, results of stress, lack of sleep, food intolerances...etc....
Fast forward two weeks; the headaches have gained momentum, nearly crippling Rachel. The pain she was feeling- kept her in bed, in the dark, and miserable.
Finally, she decided to see a doctor and get some tests done. Her vital signs were a telltale sign that something was wrong- her blood pressure was alarmingly low. The next day, she aS admitted into St. Thomas Medical Center, where she got her diagnosis that she had a brain tumor which would need an operation within the week.
She got the surgery, everything seemed fine, until her first appointment with her doctor at Vanderbilt. She received the urgent news that she would need a second surgery.
This surgery took place on November 27, 2017. The surgery went well, but she and her family are struggling. Rachel is having trouble with her speech, walking, and all motor coordination is limited.
The financial strain has proven to be real stressor in their lives on top of all the health concerns.
Please consider donating what you can toward Rachel's recovery. Funds will go to whatever isn't covered by her insurance, as well as toward food, bills, transportation, and lost wages.

We anticipate that Rachel's recovery will be slow, but steady-and will keep you all updated.
