Help Rachel Corey Travel for Innovative Treatment to Walk Again

On September 16, 2014, Rachel Corey was completing one of her final training rides before heading to Kona, Hawaii to compete in the Ironman Triathlon World Championships when she was struck from behind by a driver on Pleasant Valley Road in Boise, Idaho.  Now, nearly four years later, she is still 100% committed to her recovery.  Every day she completes hours of physical therapy and exercise to try to gain full functionality of her legs so she can walk again.

Rachel has tried both traditional and non-traditional therapies to regain use of her legs.  She has made great progress in recent years with more muscle activation in her glutes and hamstrings, however, her goal is to walk (and run!) again without assistance.  Rachel will not give up until this goal is accomplished.

Rachel was a practicing nurse before her accident and gleans different treatment options frequently.  When she first heard about the NeuroPhysics Therapy Clinic in Australia and the WareK Tremor Process, it was a passing thought due to the distance needed to travel and the funds it would require.  However, after three different people in her life recommended this specific clinic and therapy process, Rachel decided that she would find a way to make the journey.  Rachel will be traveling to Australia for three weeks in October to work with Ken Ware using his WareK Tremor Process.

The WareK Tremor Process helped paraplegic athlete, John Maclean, walk again.  John had lived with a spinal cord injury and after his first treatment at NeuroPhysics Therapy, he was able to walk a few steps unassisted.  These were John’s first unassisted steps in 25 years.   By day three, John was walking on the beach with his wife, something that had been a dream of his for a very long time.

Rachel’s trip and treatment will cost $13,000.  Would you like to make a donation to assist Rachel in getting to Australia? There are several donation options:
