RACHEL HUNTER  FIGHTING DYSAUTONOMIA

On August 2017 Rachel Hunter passed out in class.  After that her health started to decline. She was struggling on a daily basis to attend school.  Her symptoms were syncope (fainting), unable to stand up without feeling dizzy, migraines, chest pain, Tachycardia (rapid heart rate), fatigue, lightheadedness, stomach pain, brain fog, nausea, blood pooling in her legs, joint pain, and excercise intolerance.  She was unable to workout or run which is something she has a huge passion for.  After many visits to the ER,  seeing multiple doctors, and taking seizure and heart medications they could not figure out what was wrong with her.  This made no sense !  How could Rachel go from healthy, athletically fit,  and having the best summer ever competeing in track at the National level?    She was extremely happy!  We could not except this!  We wanted answers!       Six months later, Rachel and her parents visited a Illinois Neuroscience Outpatient Facility.  After four hours of testing and three Doctors she was finally diagnosed with Dysautonomia.  Also given the name POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).  This condition is due to a malfunction in the autonomic nervous system that controls heart rate,  blood pressure, digestion, body temperature, and autonomic processes that you have no control over causing her organs not to work properly.
Rachel and her family are very grateful to finally get a dignosis.  She has just finished 12 days straight of treatments, physical therapy, medication and a special diet.  She is showing progress but will still have to continue three days a week of treatment, and some medications.
PLEASE HELP make a donation for Rachel and her family with the ongoing cost of treatments, diagnostic tests, blood test,  and other unforeseen expenses for her condition that can last anywhere from months to years.(Praying for a short recovery time).
Any donation would be greatly appreciated and make a tremendous impact on her family helping Rachel with the Fight against this life altering condition. We want Rachel to get back to being a Happy teenager, doing the things she loves most of all like running and working out, and accomplishing her goals and dreams of one day attending  and competing in Track at  a Division 1 college.
Thank you to everyone for your support.
      Much Love from Rachel's Family
