The journey isnt over yet!!!
Im 8 weeks into my YWAM DTS and these past 8 weeks wouldnt have happened if it werent for the amazing amounts of love and support I recieved. The Lord has been equipping me and deepening my heart for missions. My relationship with God has strengthened to new lengths and its not even over yet. I have 4 weeks left of my lecture phase and then starting in January I will be heading out with a team of 10 to go do missions.
Our outreach will consist of staffing a youth sports camp, evangilizing at a country music festival, doing ministry at Carnival in Mazatlan, Mexico, and finally backpacking for 30 days into remote villages in Mexican Mountains!!!
I have only raised enough money for Lecture phase and I have 4 weeks to raise every penny for outreach! Im learning how to be okay with putting myself out there for missions. I used to feel ashamed and down about it but then I realized that God uses people to provide for kingdom work. God is for relationship and partnership. There is so much beauty in laying everything down before the Lord and saying "Here it is God, what do you want me to do with it?" God blesses the seeker. Ive learned how to humble myself to ask for support. The enemy wants to put shame in it. He wants to put a stop to it so that revival can be hindered. News flash, the enemy will always lose. He lost when Jesus found Peter, Andrew, James, and John by the Sea of Galilee and called them to drop their nets and follow Him. The enemy lost again when God called me into missions, and again when I was provided enough money to go to lecture phase, and he will lose again when I have the money to go on outreach. I cant wait for this victory in Christ.
Ive learned that we grow up in America focusing on independence and how if we dont have an education, we wont go anywhere in life. These are lies that the enemy has made normal. Ive obtained the knowledge to know when God speaks to me and what he is saying. He's telling me to go. So heres the thing, He isnt gonna tell me go and sit there, hes gonna move in hearts. Hes moved in your hearts to support me and he has moved in others hearts to support my friends!!! There are almost 70 students in my DTS. We come from all over the world, I look at them and think about how God called them here from different places around the world and HOW COOL IS THAT? God used friends and family and strangers to provide whats needed to do kingdom work and that right there is kingdom work itself. Wow yall, I pray so much for those who have supported me. I want to continue these relationships and I dont want the enemy to close doors that he has no business closing!!!
Back to this outreach shindig... I need $5000 AUD to leave in 4 weeks. This is $3500 USD and by the power of God I laugh at the enemy and have no doubt that my needs will go from thousands to zero in a matter of weeks.
