All proceeds from Race 4 An Angel go to the Raelyn Reny Guardian Angel Fund, and directly support the Maine Children's Cancer Program.
Established in October, 2009 by loving friends, Race 4 an Angel honors the remarkable strength, courage, love and kindness of Raelyn Williams Reny.
With graceful fortitude, Raelyn touched more souls in her 32 years than most could ever aspire to do. Raelyn grew up and resided in South Portland Maine. She was a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a god-mother, a cousin, and a friend. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma when she was 15, and received chemotherapy and other treatments, two bone marrow transplants and two hip replacements. She was a 17-year survivor of cancer, and was in remission for six years. Raelyn passed away in July, 2009. Raelyn was deeply grateful for the care she received and friendships she formed with the Maine Children's Cancer Program.
THANK YOU for supporting this event, near and dear to the hearts of many friends and family of Raelyn Williams Reny. Many of you may have known Raelyn, and many of you have heard about this race through those that knew her or simply through the local race circuit. In any case, we thank you for your support and enthusiasm to support this event and the MCCP.
