This is not easy to do again and if you've already contributed we do greatly appreciate it.

Since Aug 22nd this has been a long haul.  I've tried to  work intermittently the best I can.  We've battled through the initial admission for septis, ineffective endocarditis with tricuspid reguritation, to an auto-immune disorder affecting platelets and red blood cells, then a pulmonary embolism caused by part of the vegetation thrown off into her right lung, and then through open heart surgery replacing the valve and a lung surgery to remove what they could of the clot.

We thought we were on the road to recovery but we've been thrown another curve ball - we now have pneumonia and her right lung is half filled with a blood clot with current bleeding into her lung.  The physicians are now plotting a new plan - this includes either keep her on the blood thinners and hope she expells the clot, or a surgical procedure in Vancouver to suck out the clot, both having serious implications.  For now, they are monitoring and she is again ward locked.  She is continually monitored on the heart machine since she can decomposite quickly and they need to be able to provide immediate assistance.

I can't keep up financially by myself - any little bit contributed is helpful.  Back in April I became unemployed and then in Sept became homeless. I secured a new job back in Aug but have spent more time at the hospital then at work. I travel back and forth from Vancouver weekly, sometimes making two trips within a 24 hour period.

As I plan for a positive outcome, we are hopeful of a good outcome, discharged by Christmas. I would greatly appreciate having a home to take her to by Christmas - this will cost approximately $4,000 to secure, then we also need a representative agreement which is $500. We have to take our stuff out of storage which will be another $1500.  This doesn’t cover travel costs or living expenses. I need all the help I can get right now and I know alot of you have already contributed - thank you and that brought us through until a couple weeks ago.  Any extra donated helps with gas, monthly expenses, food and yes an abundance of coffee.

I can't thank you enough for considering or sharing this.
