Cancer

This maybe the most humbling post of my life. Those near and dear to me know that my partner of the last two plus years is battling Medullary Thyroid Cancer. His battle began in 2014, he had a total neck disection underwent radiation and procedures too numerous to name. Last summer it had metatisized into each lobe of his right lung. Again seeds placed and radiation. Last November he was hospilized and in ICU where it was discovered the cancer is now back in his neck . This has robbed him of his voice and dramatically affected his ability to work.  I lost my job in Jan. I have the promise of a new job soon but need to put that on hold for now as we are facing yet another surgery and more trips to University of Washington Medical Center.  We recently had to move to an apartment w/o stairs due to both our health.  The surgery looks promising.  All my life I have been trying to be of service to those I can help from maintaining a foster home and safe place for children for 17 years, to working with the homeless when I was in Salt Lake, UT. I now find myself in a situation in which I never thought I would be. Needing help. I am trying to raise money  To cover rent and travel/ medical expenses to get thru this hurdle. Cancer has wrecked havoc with us emotionally spiritually and financially....but it will never steal our hope.Thank you to all those who took the time to read this.
