Hi Everyone!
I am super excited to have the opportunity to go to Tijuana, Mexico with the young adults group at my AMAZING church, Capital. We will be working closely with La Roca Ministries to serve in the orphanage in variety of capacities, whether it's spending time with the kids, teaching devotionals, building, helping with meals, or doing outreach.
On top of that, God has opened up the door for me to bring the idea he gave me for Apolutrosis FC down to Tijuana and get the kids in the orphanage playing a little soccer! This is a huge part of Mexican culture, and our team is STOKED to use it as a tool for bringing the Gospel to these children. God has put this vision deep in my heart, and I can't wait to see it continue to flourish.
That being said, none of this happens for free and as a graduate student, it's not always easy to fund these things. I am certainly doing my best, but I'm also believing that God will make a way...even if it doesn't seem like there is one. The cost of the trip itself is $1,325, but I'm hoping to raise a little more than that to potentially get Apolutrosis FC shirts printed to bring to the children and maybe even the others at La Roca!
