Help Christian Heal

Hey y'all, Jessica here. I'm writing this today on behalf of my best friend, Christian Rodriguez. Saturday night (9/11/21), Chris was showing some friends his apartment in NYC and while showing them the fire escape he misstepped and fell nearly six stories down from the fire escape ladder. Thankfully some bushes broke his fall at the bottom but he is in rough shape. Doctors and police say this is the furthest they’ve heard some fall and survive. He's suffered a fractured pelvis, has broken and fractured both legs and ankles, has facial fractures, some internal bleeding including in his spine, and doctors are still running tests and x-rays. They are expecting him to recover but it's a long road ahead. He is currently (Monday evening 9/13) in spinal surgery. Thankfully, his mom and dad were able to fly up to NYC from Houston and Colorado and are with him. 

 

His roommate, Giacomo, and I are asking for any help you can possibly give. Chris is hardworking, dedicated, and a stubborn fighter, but this accident will have him out of commission for a long time. Recently he's been working on events around the city, this weekend he was supposed to be working the MTV Video Music Awards, and in October he was looking forward to being a PA on an Off-Broadway Lab.
