Cervical cancer is a bitch

Eileen Rushe, 35 from Co Louth,  who has raised so much awareness around the importance of the HPV vaccine and Smear testing has got the news that unfortunately cancer has returned and spread. She will need an intense round of chemo to prolong her life.

Eileen was diagnosed in December 2018 and got the all-clear in June 2019. The past year has been a rollercoaster for her and her family especially Eileen's 13-year-old son Seamus.

Eileen will need to start chemotherapy straight away and unable to work her friends and family have set up a gofundme to make things as comfortable for her and her son Seamus.

Her inspirational story gained a huge following appearing on TV, radio and printed interviews. Her story has impacted and touched the lives of many leaving a huge mark across the nation raising awareness for cervical cancer.
