I'm a cis, queer, first-generation child of immigrants, social worker, consultant, and training psychotherapist in the Vermont community. For the last 10 years, I've been focused on making mental health and wellness services safer to access for People of the Global Majority (Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color) here in Vermont. As a counselor I've seen firsthand the ways our systems and agencies re-traumatize our Black &amp; Brown youth, young adults, and families. Updating best practices is literally life-saving. Therapy is a valuable resource and I believe that everyone could benefit from it.
