Hello, my name is Eric. I have made a go fund me page as I need funding to produce a short comedy script I have written to film. The film is called "Medical Aid".
It is a short comedy film about a disabled man named Ronan, who works as a financial controller in a small business. He wakes up on the morning of the annual business meeting, where every manager and leader in the business discuss how the company is doing and where it can improve. Ronan, who is terrified of speaking to groups lets his nerves get the better of him. Out of desperation he turns to an old friend with a questionable career and buys a powerful nerve relaxing tablet off him. With Ronan being new to taking this kind of medicine, the tablet gets stuck in his throat and he is forced to drink the nearest liquid to clear his airway. Unfortunately this is an energy drink which creates a powerful, contradicting reaction in Ronan. The rest of the adventure is something you won't want to miss.
There is a lot of talented, genuinely lovely people involved in this production and I strongly feel this will benefit everyone from upcoming actors to camera crew and everyone in between.
The required funds will be used to pay for all equipment, actors, food, cast & crew, permission to film in certain locations and insurance to be in said locations.
We are going to be be filming on the 17-18th of May so please help!
This support will mean more to me than I could ever express. Being a young disabled man there is not a lot of things I can do. However there are some things I can do and it's things I love doing. Acting and writing! I have so many stories I would like to share and this film is the foundation for me to unlock my potential. I would love to share a message with anyone who lets their disability govern their life. If you want to do something in life no matter how crazy or impossible it seems, convince yourself you can do it then surprise yourself by doing it.
I would be so grateful for any help given to me to produce this film as would all the cast and crew, and I know you will find the finished product to be hilarious. Anyone who supports us will get a a special mention in credits and possibly more. Not to mention my eternal gratitude.
