<div>On the afternoon of May 16th, Sarah’s life was changed forever when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

<div>After not feeling well, Sarah had an appointment on the 16th with her primary doctor in Lewiston. They did a check-up and bloodwork and sent her home. A few hours later, she received a call from her doctor’s office requesting that she immediately head to the emergency room at St. Joes. After more blood work and a flurry of phone calls, Sarah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

<div>Just a few hours later, Sarah was life flighted to Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was given multiple blood transfusions and had a bone marrow biopsy completed on 5/18. She began a 7 day course of non-stop chemotherapy on 5/21. She will be in the hospital for a minimum of 4-5 weeks of Induction Chemo. She will then be released to go home but will have monthly consolidation chemo treatments that will include travel between either Boise or Seattle including a 3-4 day stay in the hospital each time.

<div>Sarah is currently employed at Southway Animal Clinic in Lewiston. She works full time assisting with scheduling, checkups, billing and lots of puppy snuggles. She loves her job but will unfortunately have to be away for at least 2 months.

<div>Jeremy, Sarah’s husband of 27 years, has been by her side through everything. After he learned that Sarah had to be life flighted and that he wouldn’t be allowed to ride with her on the flight, he almost immediately began the 10 hour drive to Salt Lake to be by her side. He will also be away from work for an extended amount of time.

<div>As you can imagine, a diagnosis of this magnitude is life changing for a million reasons. There are an endless amount of things to worry about and we would love to help relieve some of the financial worries.
