Liddie's Helpers

TRLOLC group member Theresa Wilkins brought a situation to our attention regarding a woman named Liddie:

UPDATE: Liddie needs accommodations first thing tomorrow and we are asking for donations to cover an airbnb or hotel for a few days while we help get her home.

Today, my sister and I came across a homeless lady with a little dog. We could tell she wasn’t a "vagrant". I stopped to ask her if she needed a ride. Her reply was she had nowhere to go. Liddie has been a truck driver for 44 years. She was in the Winchester area when her truck started spilling fuel. She called her company to notify them, and cruelly they fired her on the spot. They also docked her final pay for the fuel loss. We gave her a sub from subway, and paid to get her back in her room at the Red Roof Inn on 50.
I was raised to show kindness, and that’s what I did. If anyone out there can help Liddie, please pm me. Ideally, I would like to secure her more time at the hotel while she’s waiting for assistance from social services.
