My son purchased this car end of November 2024. We purchased a vehicle private sale from the original owner. We did car fax and the car and it looked good for the most part and also had maintenance from what the guy said regularly. My son is 19 years old. He has been working so hard to purchase a car , his last vehicle was old and eventually it died a was not worth repairing. An hour after we paid for that car my son was driving on Meridian road and it started to smoke and clutch blew, then we were told the shocks are leaking and now the radiator has also cracked and need new fan. We were also informed that most likely the head gasket is going to need work asap to prevent engine failure. I know I’m asking for help about something that make seem dumb to some people and his own fault for trusting the guy. He trusted the man and he lied to him by pushing the sale and my son being young and not experienced in some of this got scammed. We contacted the seller he is refusing to take responsibility and also blocked me and first he said he would talk to his wife to help pay for repairs then stopped responding. My son is heartbroken, he worked so hard to save for this car also part of the money was a loan we took from ICCU. It’s is very clear there was an issue and he knew about it and chose to not disclose and sell the car for way more then it’s value. The body shops confirmed that.  He’s been working non stop doing anything he can to pay for repairs so he can get to work. We don’t have the money to fix at the moment I’m working 3 jobs to support the family. This was a very hard for me to ask for help. Any help is appreciated, May God bless.
