Help Michelle Fight Cancer

Have you ever seen a real life angel? We have, her name is Michelle (we’re just not sure where she keeps her wings? Probably with her secret stash of chocolate.)
This beautiful angel is currently going through the fight of her life. Terminal Metastatic breast cancer.

Michelle is a devoted mum to three beautiful young children aged from 10 to 15years; the greatest loves of her life. She is also a daughter, sister, aunty, friend and loved hugely by everyone who knows her.
Anyone who has come into contact with Michelle, knows what a selfless, positive,  vibrant, compassionate, loving and generous person she is. Always the first to help someone in need and even if you don’t need help, she’ll still help you. We see you knowingly nod your heads.
Seven years ago,

Michelle, was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer. The most aggressive form of breast cancer there is. The doctors threw everything at her. “Michelle, you have to have a double mastectomy.” Yep great, no more bras. “Michelle, you have to do intensive chemotherapy and you will lose your hair.” No problem, I’ve always wanted to look like Sinead O’Connor. “Michelle you’re going to feel sick, a lot.” Okay, but will it be as bad as the supposed man flu?
Michelle, passed all these gruelling tests with flying colours.

Last year Michelle discovered a lump on her collarbone, she went and did all her regular scans with still an optimistic outlook. What came back was her worst nightmare. The cancer had returned. Not only did it return, it had spread. It had now metastasised in her bones, pelvis, hip and liver with a terminal stage 4 diagnosis from her oncologists. The doctors urging Michelle to get all her affairs in order, sooner rather than later. No one should ever have to have that conversation with their children, family and friends. Michelle had to. All our hearts collectively shattered into a million pieces, yet this woman, this amazing woman, emerged with that beautiful smile on her face and said to us all “friend, don’t worry it’s going to be okay, remember there’s always someone worse off.”

Fast forward to Michelle’s birthday eve, which she spent in an emergency ward suffering from excruciating headaches and dizziness, only to find out the cancer had spread to her brain. All of you know how much Michelle loves her birthday, so for her to receive this news at this time, is the cancers cruelest blow yet.
Michelle, is currently undergoing every possible treatment you can think of, in hope of prolonging her time with her children and loved ones. This invasive and hellish treatment is something she hoped she would never have to experience again. Due to the high expense of Michelle’s treatment, medicines and potential future medical trials, she is still having to work. We want to help raise money for Michelle to ease some of the financial burden for her. Michelle, is fighting for her life and fighting to spend the most quality time she can with her children. We can help her do that by making any donation, small or big. Every bit counts.

Michelle’s children sum it up beautifully “we love you so much, but cancer sucks”, it does kids, it really does. So, if you ever see someone walking down the street with a set of wings and a block of chocolate, it’s Michelle, stop and say hi, she’ll love it.
