My dearest amazing friend's house caught fire early morning on Easter Sunday. Her 21 year old daughter (Ariana) came home and was about to go to bed when she heard explosions and loud noises in the garage by her room. Ariana ran outside to see their garage on fire, then woke her mom up in hysterics thinking that her twin brothers (19 years old) were in the garage. Together they were able to get Jessica's dad (whom she helps care for), and Laken (her 2 year old boy) out of the house unharmed. The twins were at a friends house and Jessica's husband Johnny was at work. Ariana usually babysits at night and just happened to have the night off. If she had not come home there may have been a very different outcome. By God's grace they are all very relieved to be together, alive and healthy.
That being said, they have a long road to recovery. Jessica's twin boys, daughter and dad lost close to everything. Ariana was in pajamas without shoes. Now she's wondering how she will make it through this semester of college with her computer bunt to a crisp. They need everything including; clothes, linens and kitchen supplies. The insurance company is estimating 10 months before they will be able to live in their home again because it has to be rebuilt. The family has a long process ahead of them. Everything they owned that was not completely burnt in the fire is saturated with smoke.
I am setting this account up in hopes to help give back to a family that has always helped care for others. I am hoping that the support and kindness others will help to give them strength through this time of rebuilding.
Thank you.
