At the age of 16, Devon was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her knee. After a long struggle that has included kidney failure, heart failure, countless medications and surgeries, and an amputation of her leg, her osteosarcoma has metastasized to her lungs fifteen years after her original diagnosis. These next few weeks include countless tests, possible surgeries, and unknown events at MD Anderson. Devon is paying for her own school, new car and whatever medical bills will come her way. Also, this past year has brought the loss of her car due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey, a broken wrist, and the stress of working to get accepted into school for a masters degree in prosthetics and orthotics school. People always ask what they can do to help and donating money is a great thing to do. It relieves some of the stress of piling medical bills and every day life! Anything would be appreciated!
