Many thanks to everyone who supported Room 4 Resistance and contributed to the crowdfunding campaign that we organised due to the last-minute cancellation of our event, whether it was by spreading the word about the fundraiser, by donating money, coming out to dance with us at the alternative location or donating to our donation box at the door.
We also give special thanks to Violet, who donated 100% of the sales of her first release on Naivety (a sub-label of her own imprint, naive).
Because of your generosity, we are now able to cover the basic costs of our party, and have decided to close the campaign.
Between the diverse donations and through the Go Fund Me, we’re happy to be able to donate 1500 € to أصوات - Aswat - a feminist, queer, trans-inclusive movement that fights for freedom of gender and sexuality, for queer Palestinian and Arab women.
In the current circumstances, it is important to us to shed light on the important work being done by this organisation and to the many queer Palestinian voices, whether they live in Haifa, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, in the West Bank - occupied territories or anywhere else in the world.
We will see you all on the dance floor soon and thank you again !

HELP US PAY OUR ARTISTS & COVER OUR EXPENSES !
As a result of voicing solidarity with the Palestinian people and their call for a peaceful cultural boycott of the state of Israel, Berlin-based queer femme & non-binary collective Room 4 Resistance's upcoming event was cancelled by their venue, ://about Blank, only a few days beforehand. It's unlikely that we're going to find an alternate venue with sufficient capacity to cover our costs.
This event was organized in collaboration with the Cómeme record label, bringing several queer / Latinx artists from Latin America. We are especially saddened that this robs underrepresented, economically-vulnerable artists of both visibility and income. They should not pay the price for a political disagreement between promoter and venue.
All money collected here will go towards:
- Paying all artists their performance fees
- Covering travel expenses, accommodation, and food for all artists booked to play
- Paying our graphic designers
- Covering expenses incurred in preparation for the party (such as, purchasing décor materials)
ALL remaining funds will be donated to a charity (TBC) that fights against the rise of right-wing politics in Germany! We're confirming the charity and will update this page with the name & details soon…
