Trying to raise some money to help cover the medical costs to (hopefully) get Sadie feeling better again.
Sadie was hit by a car in front of our house on 3/5/18 and the driver of the car left her in the road. Luckily, our neighbor stopped traffic, and someone pulled over and called us.
She was barely breathing and basically non responsive, but we brought her to the ER in hopes of helping her.
She needed LOTS of X-rays, oxygen, 4 different medications (pain killers, anti nausea, anti inflammatory, and antibiotics), an IV catheter, and more. We spent almost $3000 in the day and a half she was there, and unfortunately can't afford that again out of pocket.
She is home and off the oxygen, but has extensive nerve damage in one of her front legs. She will need more medication for pain (I just paid $50 for 5 pills), A LOT of rehab/physical therapy, and possible full or partial leg amputation.
I hate to reach out for help, and I never ask for it. But my only option if I can't afford her care is to rehome her to someone who can. And the thought of that makes me so sad.
