Jake's Medical Fund

On the morning of February 9th 2018, Jake was involved in a very serious car accident while driving down the expressway on his way into work.  That day the weather conditions were terrible with a lot of snow and ice on the ground. While driving, Jake's car went into a spin and was left stuck in the middle of the road where he was then struck by another vehicle. Thankfully, Jake’s life was spared (thank you, God!) but he was left with some pretty serious injuries as a result. These injuries include cracked ribs, a lacerated spleen and his pelvis fractured in multiple places.  By the time this is posted he will have gone through a 4 hour surgery to repair his pelvis/hip.  Needless to say, our brother is in a lot of pain.

Many of you have been asking how you can help and we appreciate that so much!  Jake and his fiancée Allie are going to have many expenses by the time this is all over and done with.  These expenses will include medical expenses, lost wages at work as he is looking at a minimum of a three month recovery time, cost to replace his vehicle, and to top it off he has a mortgage and a wedding coming up in four months.  Our goal is to help Jake and Allie with as much of this financial burden as possible,

It is very difficult to estimate the cost of all of this.  Thankfully Jake does have medical insurance, so he won't have the full burden of his medical bills, but they are still expected to be significant. The goal that is set on this page is no estimate of cost (we expect it will be significantly more), but we have to put a goal on the page because it is required.  Our goal is to raise as much as possible for Jake and Allie.

So what if you want to help but cannot contribute financially?  There are other ways to help out Jake and Allie during this difficult time.  Everyone needs to eat right? Make them a delicious meal! Or bring Jake a pint of Halo Top ice cream! You could also be on the look out for an affordable car and pass the info on to us. I am sure Jake would also very much appreciate cards, notes or texts letting him know you are thinking about him!

If you are in a position to help our brother Jake in anyway, we really appreciate it!  We will be collecting monetary donations starting now, and meals as soon as he is out of the hospital and at home in his own bed (which he is so ready for).  If you have any questions or need information on anything, please let us know!  We will be updating this page as news breaks.
