About three years ago, Adam at age 37 was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. Since then, he has undergone Esophageal surgery, numerous radiation and chemotherapy treatments. He and the rest of the family found out this week from the Oncology team that he is not physically able to undergo any more treatments. His body is too weak and is shutting down. The Stage 4 Esophageal cancer has metastasized and has spread throughout his body. It was recommended Hospice be called in immediately. Hospice will be starting on Monday, January 3rd 2022. Adam's mother, my Aunt Anita (Wood) Nichols will be staying with Adam as he is unable to be left by himself. 

The monetary donations being collected will be used for burial expenses, medical expenses not covered by insurance and care for his underage children's future. 

Adam has five children: ages 22, 21, 15, 8, and 4. He has been a resident of the Stillwater/Mechanicville area his whole life. If you are from this area or live nearby, please consider donating and/or coming to the fundraiser being organized. I will update this site once the fundraiser is finalized.  

The family is especially asking for prayers for Adam and the rest of our family during this difficult time.
