Ava needs your help

Today I adopted Ava, an 8 month old female kitten. I found her on a Facebook re-homing page where her previous owner told me she was free to have, although she is not up to date with her shots, nor is she spayed. Getting Ava up to date on shots and spaying is something that I was fully prepared to invest in. When I picked her up they mentioned I might want to get her back leg looked at by a vet. While I was picking her up I noticed Ava had ear mites, pee all over her legs, and was very timid of her surroundings. I was aware bringing her home that she might have a minor injury, but I knew I could provide her a better home than what she was currently living in. I took her home, fed her, bathed her, and started to notice that she was much more hurt than her previous owner had explained. I took her to see an emergency vet shortly after, and found out she has 4 fractures in her hip. There could be more once they start the surgery, although this is all they can see in the x-rays. The estimated cost is $2500-3500 for surgery. This won't include any complications, medication afterwards, over night hospital stay, medication for ear mites, spaying surgery or vaccines. In this short amount of time I fell in love with Ava, so this news was very upsetting to me. I know I would have the patience and time to take care of her after her surgery, and provide a loving forever home for her. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to pay for these bills at the time as I am trying to complete my university degree. If I am unable to pay for the surgery, I will need to surrender her to the Vet Hospital, and SPCA will be contacted to see if they have the necessary funds to pay. Ultimately, she could end up in a loving home, but there is a chance she could be in the SPCA’s care for a long time due to the after care of her hip surgery and rehabilitation. I am willing to put in any time necessary to make sure she has the best life she possibly can. If anyone is interested in helping Ava, I would appreciate it so much. Unfortunately, time is limited and I need to let the Veterinarian know as soon as possible if I am able to pay for the surgery or if I will need to surrender her. Even if I don't reach the top GoFundMe amount, I have some room in my student line of credit that I might be able to pay for some expenses. If it ends on I cannot pay for the expenses, any amount will be donated to Ava in hopes SPCA, or an Vet employee can pay the rest and give her a good home. FYI - I have a second donation page in progress on Facebook. I want to make sure everyone is aware that the total goal I want is $3500 between the two pages. There is no way I can connect the two sites. Any excess money will be donated to SPCA! Thank you very much for your time!
