Support for Sunbo’s family

Hello Everyone,

We are friends of Sunbo (Canadalawa) and we are trying to raise funds to help her with bills that was incurred as a result of an incident that we all will never forget - the death of Sunbo’s mum, Mrs Olushola Lawal - Sisi (as she fondly loved to be referred to). We know that finances, though major is a small part of the pain she may be feeling right now.

Mrs Olushola Lawal came to Canada in Dec 2019 to spend time with her daughter and also to witness the birth of her grandson while Sunbo juggled schooling for her Diploma and managing her business.

On the 8th of October, Sisi accidentally slipped off the stairs in the house and was unconscious, paramedics came and took her to the hospital and that was where the journey started.

Prior to this, she got her medical insurance but it expired in July(that was when she was supposed to go back to Nigeria but couldn’t travel back to Nigeria due to the COVID-19 pandemic that made most governments shut down the airports temporarily). She had a brain surgery and was in a coma throughout her stay at the intensive care unit.

Unfortunately, after over two months of pain and struggle for her life, Sisi went home to be with the Lord this morning, 20th of December 2020.

Sisi is the most agile person we have met, she was also very prayerful and jovial. We couldn’t reconcile why she will be in that state for so long, we prayed and fasted hoping for a miracle but God knows best...

Right now, we are asking for your support to be a blessing towards the payment of her hospital bills and funeral arrangements.
